John is in his early nineties, blind and wheelchair bound. He is awkward, bad tempered but spirited and has few friends except for Len and his wife Joan who, at the behest of the local Priest, have agreed to keep an eye on him. He has recently lost his second wife and lives alone in the Western Isles. He has two sons both of whom he has alienated and will not visit him. He seems to be at odds with the whole world. This play, tells John¡¯s story in flashback snapshots with Len and Joan playing themselves and a variety of other characters in John¡¯s life. It is a very challenging play for all three actors.
