Item details

Midsummer, 1765. The Laird of Gleniscar in Argyll has been missing for almost twenty years, ever since Culloden, and his wife (or widow) is beset by several wooers. Then a one-eyed tinker comes by, who remembers some strange things. This romantic comedy has been played in three Scottish Finals since 1964 when Stirling A.D.S. were placed first in it and awarded the Glen Mackemmie Trophy. It has appeared in the Eastern, Western and Northern Divisional Finals and the British Final in Belfast. It was broadcast by the B.B.C. in 1964.
