Item details

A young man, Andy, breaks into a Glasgow flat but is discovered by the owner a lonely, well-to-do, middle-aged, blind man called Barbour. Although Andy seems to have all the physical advantages in the encounter, he finds himself drawn into a more complicated relationship. Barbour has lived within a protective shell that Andy cannot penetrate; unable to understand the older man's self-absorption, Andy reacts in a way that leads inevitably to violence. The play was chosen by Pitlochry Theatre as the first of their Plays in Progress in 1980. Plays for two actors are now eligible for S.C.D.A. One-Act Play Festivals.
